this weekend there will be the GERMAN PRELIMINARY for WCS 2012!!!

the host will be Connichi in Kassel (16. - 18. September).

23 teams are signed up. the competition starts at 10:15 in the big festival hall.

We´re very glad to have a lot of great foreign cosplayers as judges and guests for our event.

I´m back in Germany! WCS was such a great experience again! I will never forget that <3!

for the ones who think "why did you not do acrobatics?":
- it´s not possible to make that with the wing construction on your back. also skilled acrobats could not do that LOOOOL
- we trained a lot that we were even able to dance and move properly with the wings (me: "Iris ;O; I feel the screws in my spine ;O;!!!" lol)
- Kaleido star is not only about acrobatics. they have also theater plays in their performances. Watch the anime: it´s wonderful =3!

Music:
- the complete circus remix is made by Iris boyfriend Patrick =3! It´s our own remix and he worked 3 weeks on it *_*!
- the tracklist we used is: Ar Tonelico OST (Remixed), Britney Spears Circus (Remixed), Kaleido Star OP 2

props:
- Angel Wings made by Iris (Lumis-Mirage)
- trapeze/swing construction made by my uncle Harry
- Butterfly wings, capes, fans (completely selfmade) and trapeze decorations made by me (calssara)


Congratulations to all Winner Teams *_*!!! I specially was a huge fan of Italy and China! Also Thailand was one of my favos =3!

Iris and I we could visit Japan Expo in Paris to see the French preliminaries for WCS. All costumes were soooo beautiful and the level of costumes was totally high! So it was the performance that decided who´ll win. There were a lot of great performances. It was a pleasure to watch it!

I´m terribly sorry to be so late with that news in the Livejournal!

well, there will be a new concept for the next German preselection round in September on Connichi (Kassel).
you can get all informations about it on the official WCS Germany website here -> CLICK HERE

for our foreign friends to know:
there will be a qualification round for 60 teams. They will have the chance to show their costumes, their personality, their team spirit and motivation in a 1 minute presentation in front of a German jury (not the big main stage...in a different room).
20 teams will be selected for the stage show. The jury here will be international. And than the winner Team may fly to Japan.



Other news:
Iris and I will be on the "Dokomi" convention in Düsseldorf this weekend.
For Sunday we´ll wear our press costumes Rachel Alucard and Litchi Fay Ling from Blazblue ;D

Sorry for so less entries lately. Iris is still working on her costumes and I´m currently busy with the stage props. But if everything works fine, we´ll meet soon to take photos with the Rozen Maiden costumes and wear our Blazblue costumes on the "Dokomi" convention in Düsseldorf =3.

we want to tell you about a new event in Nagoya. One of the "side events" for WCS.
It´s an official photo shooting at a VERY cuuuute place called "Sweet Castle" ^___^.

Hey friends, it´s me again ;D!

well, my stage costume is finished since a few weeks and I decided to show you some IMPRESSIONS of the costume. so you can guess what it will be ;D.
I can just say that the wings will be made by my partner Iris and the stage items and props will be made by me.

well so first the stage items ^.^
here are the FANS *_*

oh you think "urg...fans...again???already saw that!".....yeah |D, it´s fine that you underestimate us XD! *lol*....you have to see them more like paintings ^^ and we´ll use them for the entrance part of the performance. You can be sure that we´ll not waving with fans 2min 30sec long LOOOL XD



it´s my own design =D!

they were a LOT more work than expected. here a list of what I´ve done on them:
1.) buy big fans (~1m)
2.) remove fabric
3.) paint wood (3 layers, coz they did not want to keep the color)
4.) glue on new fabric parts
5.) use transparent lacquer so the fabric will not fringe
6.) paint one side of the fan
7.) paint exactly the same image on the other side again
8.) transparent lacquer again

I made all 4 fans; painted both sides, so in complete I painted 8 sides. the fans are ~1m big.

on the edges of the fans I´ll add these organza fabric scarfs ^-^. they are between 1.5m and 2m long =D and we have 6 different colors.



all edges of the organza scarfs are cast with thread.
if you sum up the lengths of all edges of the organza parts you have something between 80-90m!!! it was soooooo dang much work ;O;~

also for the entrance scene we´ll use this ponchos =D. totally creative design by me LOOL XDDD. again we used organza ^-^



thanks to my mommy for holding it ^-^


sooooo so far this are a few of the stage items for the performance. the "main stage prop" will be done in the next few weeks. and I´ll learn WELDING *______*~ so I´ll work with metal =D! yeah~

now a short impression from my stage costume =D! You may guess what it will be ^^. I combined 2 different artworks of the character. I also improved some parts and made my own design (f.e. on the back side).

In general I used between 5000 and 6000 gems on that costume. I love the feathers and the gems so much!
all the stars and other emblems are stitched on. I took me a looong time to stitch so many emblems/forms on.
also I glued on all gems 7 days long....5h per day XD. I became totally dizzy from all that glue *lol* XDD;;;

Yaaaaaay! Finally, I can show you some Progress of my Interview Cosplay <3

Sorry to all my friends, who keep asking me to post progress pictures. I know, you had to wait a long time, but at the moment I’m having a hard time finding free time for sewing. My real life is so fully packed with other private stuff. But I’ll give my best to update more often in the future!!!

For Litchi, the sewing part is 95% done – only the little panda for the hair is missing.

I had to do the upper part a second time >__> because the first yellow fabric looked shitty and I had a “boob accident” (Bell/Calssara, you should know what I mean XD)

So anyway, here is the result…











I hope you like it!

My favorite part are the boots <3 It’s the first time I didn’t use hot glue for the covers, only some fabric glue and stitching. My fingers still hurt because of the needles.

I will do the weapon later. Next up I’ll start with an important part of the final Cosplay because we will need it for our practice. Concurrently I will start with the parade Cosplay. A lot of you know it already… it’s Judith from the Game “Tales of Vesperia” <3

The next weekend I will not be in Ludwigshafen for Hanami (German convention) ;____; I miss my friends a lot so it’s sad not to be there, but I will attend Anime2011 in the Netherlands and watch the first preliminaries for the Netherland’s WCS Team!!! I’m really excited about this ‘cause I do not know much about the Cosplay scene over there. Maybe some of the Netherland’s Cosplayers read this and come over to say hello to me next weekend?!??! I would be really happy ^______^

We got a message from Ed Hoff and Suzuki-san about that topic:...

We've already announced to everyone that we are fine here and that the WCS is going ahead as planned, I would like to reiterate that to alleviate any concerns.This is a message from Suzuki san, the active head of the WCS:
- "WCS2011 will go ahead as planned.
There is no concern with arrival or scheduling
of events this year."

sorry for my laziness, but here is now a full body shot of my finished Yuri Lowell cos for the parade =D.





please notice:
- that I dyed the fabric for the ornaments on the shirt, so it looks a bit purple-ish *_*~
- sry I bind my belt the wrong way on the shot XD;
- and the BEST: my manly scar on my left arm |D HOHO ( I made a manly fire with REAL wood and burnt my arm xD;...but now it´s a manly scar and so!)


I realized:
- my chest is like 50cm too short *LOL* (so my proportions look different to the reference. I´m a SHORTY HUA =O!)
- WTF I do not need to bind my chest ;O; (I´m a dang flat chest T_T)
- without sword, Yuri looks not Yuri-like enough XD


so what do we learn?
Bell is a shorty with a flat chest and her face is already too old to cosplay lolis/shotas ;O;!!!
so I fail in cosplay *laugh* haha~
